The News-Democrat publishes all misdemeanors, felonies and small claims judgments recorded in district court, as well as all civil suits recorded in circuit court. Bernard Kalep King, 1982, indicted for burglary in the second degree (C-felony) and assault in the fourth degree (A-misdemeanor), criminal mischief in the second degree (A-misdemeanor), persistent felony offender in the first degree punishable by enhancement in that he is more than 21 years of age and stands convicted of a felony after having been convicted of two or more previous felonies. $25,000 cash bond. Jackie Maynard, 1973, indicted promoting contraband in the first degree (D-felony) and possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (methamphetamine) (D-felony), possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (methamphetamine) (D-felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (A-misdemeanor). $5,000 bond at 10%. Amanda Jo Chadwell, 1983, indicted for possession of a controlled substance in the first degree first offense (methamphetamine) (D-felony), possession of a controlled substance in the third degree first offense (A-misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (A-misdemeanor), operating a motor vehicle under the influence first offense within a 10-year period, possession of marijuana (B-misdemeanor). $5,000 at 10% bond.
